By the late 1980s, Shinehead introduced me to the fact that the bond between reggae music and hip hop was stronger than I would ever know. 

By the time I heard Shabba Ranks, Cutty Ranks and Supercat, I was already convinced of dancehall reggae's value.

With the exception of dancehall reggae of the 1990s, espeically the early genre s, no other of music preoccupied my time, audiocassettes, nmusic collection than hip hop
