Buddy Miles Express - Expressway To Your Skull (1968)

During one of my last guest hosting gigs on WeFunk, my partner Rawsoul dropped a single from the Buddy Miles Express debut album called Train that made me feel like I was getting run over by said locomotive.

I recognized the big sample from a hip hop track and was super surprised to learn it was Buddy Miles.

DJ Solespin - WeFunk

If and when I’d be home on a Friday night, the radio was tuned to CKUT 90.3FM’s WeFunk.

Someone told they listened to my last appearance on WeFunk and I told them it was one of the most pivotal moments in my life.

Almost everything I've done with djing & records stems from that night at CKUT with DJ Static. Years later, I'm now on CKUT and blessed enough to be spinning for the public on a weekly basis.

If you want to know anything about how & why I do what I do with music, this is the best place to find out.

I got to fill in for WeFunk twice before the 2012 holiday season year wrapped up.

History repeated itself because I filled in for WeFunk just before the 2013 holiday season.

History has a way of repeating itself.

Years ago, Frank BLVD made a guest spot on WeFunk and a long overdue guest set on my Suite Delight show in the same weekend.

He also later visited my show as well as WeFunk with a breaks-heavy guest  DJ set.

I'm pleased to announce that Frank BLVD is the special guest DJ at Le Bleury's WeFunk night with Professor Groove & DJ Rubyjane on December 21.
