Montreal’s St. Laurent BLVD was in the midst of its bi-annual sidewalk sale and I had a lot on my dance card at that time. I made a particular effort to make my way to Greenlight Gallery prior to the exhibition starting because I was worried I would not be able to return later in the night when the event would have been in full swing.
I took photos of the many vintage boombox radios and various artworks as they were setting up for the night. There were turntables set up and I could only imagine the jams that would be dropped that night. That was probably my inspiration to return to Greenlight Gallery.

DJ DSYFR, as I found out his name, was the designated DJ for most of my time at Greenlight Gallery.
If I was thrilled to see the turntables set up for the occasion, the sight of bags of records thrilled me all the more upon my return to the store.
Most of the music he dropped were songs I either had, had but let go, wanted to have but haven’t gotten around to doing so or haven’t heard in a long time. In either case, I enjoyed what he had done enough to have invited him to be a guest DJ on The Suite Delight. He graciously accepted the offer and the scheduled date is July 28.
