K'Naan

Who knew that the opening act for a Wyclef Jean concert held at

Université de Montréal would become a Canadian international superstar himself?

The guest appearances on K'Naan's Troubadour album read like a who's who of popular/hip hop culture circa the time it was released as well as icons of the Golden Era.

Reaching for Chubb Rock on the track ABCs was a pleasant surprise.

K'Naan entered K-os territory as one of my go-to Canadian MCs.

I have respect for the political nature of K'Naan's music and looked forward to his next album.
