I was missing the Larry Gold CD and added it to my collection.
I scoop up whatever BBE Records crossed my record buying path.
I'll go on record and state it would take a lot for me to leave the vinyls of any BBE Records compilation series where I met them.

I got those Beat Generation CDs in the midst of BBE celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the series. Is it a coincidence or just the subject of this blog post? Let's figure it out together.

Ironically, I wasn't very interested in the Beat Generation at the time of their release. I somewhat turned my back on hip hop between 1996-2003 so the series naturally went ignored by me.
Like most people who front on something for one reason or another, I learned the error of my ways and slowly scooped up whichever of the Beat Generation series I could.
I'll go on record and state I don't have a personal favorite among the Beat Generation series but if the vinyls of the Will.I.Am, Jay Dee & DJ Spinna crossed my path, it would take a lot for me to leave them where I met them.

Playing the hip hop from the Beat Generation series on Suite Delight gives me the chance to get a bit more familiar with the music I didn't hear over the last decade. For the listeners that know the music well, they get to revisit the past and if they didn't know about the Beat Generation series anniversary, I'm glad to inform them.

This now brings me right back to my blog post opener. When I think about it, there is no better time for me to find, buy, play and write about the series than now.

Considering I cared little about the series to now writing its praises, this is a tribute to the timeless music BBE releases regardless of genre.

Their releases, especially the compilations of vintage music give me the chance to get a bit more familiar with the music I didn't or otherwise wouldn't hear from decades passed.
