I met Lushlife when I attended my first CMJ in 2009. I was quite surprised to be in front of and meeting the artist who recorded Cassette City. It was at that moment I realized CMJ time can put you face-to-face with nearly anyone involved in the music industry.
I was a nearly appointed music director in 2009 and was soaking up information about the current electronic & hip hop music scene. It was then I learned of the artist Lushlife.
He mentioned a new album was in the works and that time is now upon us.
Lushlife, along with Shabazz Palaces, visited Il Motore for a performance on April 11. It was nice that Lushlife remembered me and that I have a copy of Plateau Vision to spring on The Suite Delight listeners.
The new album drops on April 17 and features guest appearances from Shad and Styles P among others.
