Eve

 

I could have easily tripped on Eve more than I did. 

She was coming up in the late 90s just at the time I was walking away from hip hop. 

I’m sure that even with my back turned I would have noticed Eve. 

I was slightly critical of hip hop at the time and had concerns about if she penned her verses or not. 

Regardless, I was happy to see and hear Eve any chance I got. I’m remembering her in Barbershop as I type this and take my word for it, I’m smiling.
